The Instructor

Dr. Robert C. Weih (weih@uamont.edu) has been involved with GIS and Remote Sensing for over 25 years. He has been using ArcView and ArcGIS since its introduction and is an ESRI authorized ArcGIS instructor. He is currently an Professor in the School of Forest Resources at UAM and Director of the Spatial Analysis Laboratory (SAL). He has worked as a Senior Scientist at the Space Remote Sensing Center, as a consultant for the Center of Ecological Management of Military Lands and for the FAO of the United Nations. He has also worked for Coconino County Highway Department and the US Forest Service. He received his B.S. in Forest and Range Management from Northern Arizona University, M.S. from University of Minnesota and Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
